Charlie Stephens

Charlie James Stephens is a queer short story writer and poet living in Northern California. Charlie has lived all over the U.S. as a bike messenger, bookstore clerk, and seasonal shark diver (for educational purposes only). Charlie’s written work has appeared in Rappahannock Review, Not Your Mother’s Breast Milk, Cold Creek Review, 100 Word Story, Instant City, Original Plumbing, and “Nothing Short of: Selected Tales from 100 Word Story” (Outpost19 Books). Lastly, Charlie’s pieces “It’s Just Too Late for That” and “I Am a Conservationist” made Glimmer Train’s top 25 finalists for their “Very Short Fiction Award” in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
